The East African University is a mixed day and boarding school offering PhD, Degrees, Diploma and Certificates and is affiliated to/with a Private Entity The University of East Africa is affiliated with Kampala University.
The university campus is located 10 kilometres south of Kitengela off the Nairobi-Kajiado-Namanga Road, approximately 40Km south of Nairobi.
The idea to start the university was conceived in 2005. In 2006, 100 acres of land were acquired in Kitengela. The license for a Tertiary Education Institution was granted in November 2010.
