Technical University of Kenya is a Public University located in Starehe Constituency within Nairobi County.
Technical University of Kenya is a mixed day and boarding school offering PhD, Degrees, Diploma and Certificates and is affiliated to/with the Central Government The Technical University of Kenya (TU-K) is Kenyan Public University. It is the first Technical University in Kenya and was charted in January 2013.
Located off Haile Selassie Avenue, Workshop Road in Central Business District. The well kept lawns, flowers and hedges, the well designed buildings made of rare artifacts define and accentuate the beauty of this institution.
It started in 1961 as Kenya Technical Institute and later changed to Kenya Polytechnic. In 2007, it became a constituent college of the University of Nairobi and was renamed the Kenya Polytechnic University College. Finally in 2013, Technical University of Kenya was chartered and is a now a full fledged university.
