KMTC Kitui Campus is located along the hospital road next to Kitui District Hospital. It was established in the year 2004 and occupies the premises that formerly housed Better Living Institute (BLI) Kitui.
Currently the campus offers these courses:
3 ½years Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN)
3 years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
3 Years diploma in clinical medicine
Environmental Health Sciences
Health Records and information Sciences
A Centre of Excellence (COE) in Family Planning and Reproductive Health training at KMTC Kitui was launched Thursday 21st April 2011.
KMTC Kitui campus has a multistoried hostel block that accommodates 264 female students. The male students’ hostels are 4 blocks and one hired multistoried hostel from Social Services.
The College has two computer labs the first with 30 desktop computers with support from Computer for Schools Kenya, Amref and VVOB with unlimited internet access at a speed of 512 kbs.
The students have been actively involved in sporting activities since inception including: Football Men and Women, Basketball Men and Women, Handball Men, Netball women,Volleyball Men and Women,Table tennis Men and Women, Badminton Men and Women, Chess Men and Women, Darts Men and Women, Athletics Men and Women.
A relatively young college and having been selected as a centre of excellence in Reproductive Health/Family Planning, KMTC Kitui campus staff are very committed and proactive in attaining to the vision of KMTC – To be a model institution in training and development of competent health professionals.
