Students Walk out of School after Supper

On Sunday 8th November, 2021, over 300 students from Naivasha High School in Nakuru County walked out of the school into the streets of Naivasha town before police officers were called in and forced them back into school. This happened immediately after the students finished enjoying their Sunday supper.

Fortunately, they did not destroy anything and just walked out quietly – said the School Administrator.

Following this development, the entire student body was then sent home indefinitely. This makes Naivash high School one of the latest secondary schools in Kenya to be closed indefinitely following student unrest that is currently happening across the country.

We suspect some of them did not want to sit for an exam which was beginning today – said Kisilu Mutua, the Deputy county Commissioner, Nakuru County on Monday.
